Typographic Symbiosis

Year 2016
Design Skills Experimental, Publication

‘Typographic Symbiosis’ was created during my BA study as an exploration into font pairings that combine effectively together. The goal was to not only find these pairings but also design something which could be used as an aid by young graphic designers who are first getting into the industry.

The scientific-sounding name ‘Typographic Symbiosis’ was chosen and inspired by the quote ‘Design is where science and art break even’. This is why much of the language used on the cards is more scientific in nature and the reason why the typefaces used have been laid out in a style similar to those used in the periodic table.
